Welcome back to school! The hallways are once again filled with children and activity. We welcomed over 290 students this school year and we are getting adjusted to being back at school.
Our volleyball, cross country, and soccer seasons have started. Many thanks to Miss Strieter and Ms. Preston for coaching the junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams and to Mr. Rogers for coaching the cross country and soccer teams. Other extracurricular activities are starting up soon, too. Mrs. Koehler is leading the cooking club and Mrs. Gnewuch is heading up the Singing Knights choir. The Girl Scouts program and Drama club will also begin soon. We strive to offer a solid extracurricular program for our students!
This school year, we are launching the Knights of the Spirit program. The Knights of the Spirit is based off the Fruits of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. We will emphasize these positive behavior traits throughout the school year in devotions, Big Friend/little friend activities, songs in music class, chapel services, and quarterly student award ceremonies.
We are still looking for extra workers in our Pre-K extended care program on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and for our after-school extended care program on Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact Mrs. Engel at email@example.com or 815-547-5346.
God’s richest blessings to you!
