Welcome to Immanuel Lutheran School. Immanuel Lutheran School was established in the late 1800’s, as an extension of the ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church. The purpose of Immanuel Lutheran School is to help each child reach his/her potential physically, spiritually, socially, mentally, academically, and emotionally in a Christ-centered environment.
Immanuel is part of the Belvidere community. We actively participate through community events, service projects, and a variety of opportunities to be witnesses of His Word through music. Students from Belvidere, Rockford, Caledonia, Kirkland, Roscoe, Loves Park, and Poplar Grove travel to Immanuel to receive a rigorous Christian education that prepares them for success in their future academic career.
One of the main reasons our school is unique is that we are small enough that every student becomes an integral part of the Immanuel Lutheran family. Each student is important and a gift from God. Our small class sizes ensure that no child is overlooked or left behind, as we nurture relationships among our students, teachers, staff, and parents.
Our academic curriculum is enhanced by specialty teachers in music, band, technology, and foreign language. We also offer after-school sports and clubs. With the addition of a new science lab, one-to-one technology, and a Resource Teacher, Immanuel continues to offer a rigorous Christian education that prepares them for success in their future academic career.
Immanuel has National Lutheran School Accreditation and State of Illinois Recognition. The faculty is composed of highly qualified and experienced professional educators. Our students consistently score above the national average on standardized tests.

Immanuel Lutheran Church is dedicated to the ministry of Immanuel Lutheran School. The staff of Immanuel is humbled by the commitment of our congregation to Christian education and thankful for the blessings associated with teaching at our school.
Based on the actual cost of educating a student at Immanuel and the tuition rates that are charged, every family at Immanuel receives a tuition waiver from the congregation. We are blessed by the financial support of ILC and the spiritual support we receive through prayer. We thank God for the opportunities He provides to share the Good News of Jesus birth, death, and resurrection with all who join us in worship and for all who attend our school.
Registration fees are due at the time registration paperwork is submitted. Registration fees are non-refundable. Tuition may be paid in full or families may schedule 10 monthly payments through SMART Tuition.
