End of Another School Year!

June 2024

We’ve come to the end of another school year! What a great year it was; we worked to connect 280 kids to Christ through engaging faith-based education. There were several highlights during the school year.

Field Trips: Many of our classes went on fun field trips. The fifth graders visited the Challenger Center, the fourth graders went to Midway Village, the third and sixth graders enjoyed outdoor education at Walcamp, the seventh graders spent the day in Springfield, and the eighth graders spent a week in Potosi.

Big Friend/little friend picnic: Our Big Friend/little friend picnic was a lot of fun! Students were treated to a hot dog lunch and had an enjoyable afternoon playing outdoor games. The Knights Honor Society demonstrated its leadership skills by helping to organize and lead the event.

Christmas Concert & Fine Arts Night: Our music program continues to expand under the direction of Mrs. Gnewuch. The students’ talents were displayed at the Christmas Concert and Fine Arts Night. They even learned how to dance!

PTL Events: The PTL led several events this school year including the Fall Festival, Mother/Son Bowling, and the Father/Daughter Dance. These were all family-friendly events. They also put together Teacher Appreciation Week.

We look forward to another school year for students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade beginning August 14. There are still some spots available. If you are interested in enrolling or would like more information about Immanuel Lutheran, please contact the school office at 815-547-5346.
