Winter is Upon Us

February 2023

The winter months at ILS are busy! We celebrated National Lutheran Schools’ Week at the end of January. This special week is filled with fun activities and theme days, like Holiday Day, Twin Day, Movie Day, and Big Friend/little friend Minute-to-Win-It games. Lutheran schools are truly fantastic places for students to learn and grow!

This month, we welcomed several new students into our invite-only honor society, the Knights Honor Society. We finished up the second round of MAP testing and teachers will begin analyzing the data to drive their instructional practices. The Cooking Club and Sewing Club are meeting this month, and basketball season is wrapping up. Our Father-Daughter Dance was at the beginning of February, and our kindergarten and first grade students will help lead the 9:15 worship service on February 26th.

Enrollment opened to current ILS families in January and opened to the community on February 13th. We’ve been busy in the school office with tours and meetings with prospective families. Many of these families mention that they have heard great things about Immanuel from families of current students. Thank you for spreading the word about Immanuel! It is an honor to connect students to Christ through engaging faith-based education.
