Safe, Supportive Care Before and After the School Day
About Extended Care
Immanuel Lutheran School offers an Extended Care program for students in Pre-K through Grade 8. This program is designed to support working families by providing a safe, structured, and caring environment outside regular school hours.
Students may attend Extended Care on selected days or every school day, depending on family needs.
Program Hours
Extended Care is available Monday–Friday during the school year.
- Morning Care: Begins at 6:30 a.m.
- After-School Care: Ends at 6:00 p.m.
Students attending Extended Care during the lunch hour (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) must bring their own lunch. Milk is available for purchase.
Activities & Daily Experience
Extended Care provides a balance of structured and relaxed activities that allow students to unwind, engage with peers, and stay active.
Activities may include:
A quiet space is also available for students who need time to complete homework or reading assignments.
Expectations & Behavior
All school rules remain in effect during Extended Care. Staff members support positive behavior and help students make appropriate choices in a respectful and caring manner.
Behavior guidance includes:
- Clear expectations
- Positive reinforcement
- Redirection when needed
- Use of brief “time out” for self-regulation
We believe students should learn responsibility, self-control, respect for others, and accountability for their actions in a safe environment.
Pick-Up & Sign-Out Procedures
For student safety, the following procedures are required:
- A parent or designated adult listed on the family record card must sign the student out
- If someone not listed will be picking up a child, the school office must be notified by note or phone call
- Students are
not permitted to sign themselves out without written parent permission
Fees
Extended Care is billed hourly.
- First child: $5.00 per hour
- Additional children: $4.50 per hour
Additional Fee Information:
- Pickups less than 30 minutes into an additional hour are charged half the hourly rate
- Students picked up after
6:00 p.m. are assessed a
$1 per minute late fee
Payment Information
- Families using Extended Care occasionally are asked to pay at the time of pickup
- Regular users are billed every two weeks
- Families must remain current on payments to continue using Extended Care services

- Sundays – 8:00 a.m. (Traditional)
- Sundays – 9:15 a.m. (Teaching + Musical Variety)
- Sundays – 10:15 a.m. (Education Hour, Christ for Kids, Biblical Studies)
- Sundays – 11:00 a.m. (Contemporary)
